Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Onvert ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit onvert.xyz, create an account, use the Onvert dashboard, APIs, or SDKs, contact us, or join a product updates list. We design these practices for a global audience, including users in the United States and, where applicable, the EU/UK.

1. Who we are

Onvert is a remote mobile onboarding and paywall platform for app teams. For privacy questions, contact us at hello@onvert.xyz.

2. Information we collect

  • Account registration: name, email address, authentication details, billing contacts, and workspace or organization information you provide when you sign up.
  • Product and dashboard usage: configuration and content you create in Onvert (flows, screens, paywalls, experiments, analytics settings), and operational data needed to provide the service.
  • Billing and transactions: plan selection, purchase history, and payment-related metadata processed by our payment providers. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
  • Contact form: the details you submit so we can reply.
  • Product updates list: name, email address, and related details if you opt in to receive product news or launch communications.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP, referring URLs, pages viewed, and standard server logs. If configured, we may also use analytics tools (for example Google Analytics).
  • Cookies and similar technologies: cookies, local storage, and similar technologies used for authentication, preferences, security, and analytics.

3. End-user data in your apps

Onvert delivers flow configuration remotely to apps that integrate our SDKs. Answers collected during a flow (for example name, goals, or preferences) are designed to stay on the device and in your app unless you configure something otherwise. Onvert does not process your end users' in-app purchases; when a user selects a plan, the SDK calls your purchase handler (for example StoreKit, Google Play, or RevenueCat).

When you use Onvert, you are responsible for your own privacy notices to end users and for complying with laws that apply to your apps. Where we process personal information on your behalf as a service provider or processor, we do so to provide the Service under our agreement with you.

4. How we use your information

  • Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Onvert product and marketing site.
  • Create and manage accounts, workspaces, and billing.
  • Respond to support and contact requests.
  • Send product updates and marketing emails when you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Understand how the site and product are used and diagnose issues.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. Legal bases (EU/UK GDPR)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract to provide the Service when you create an account; consent for optional marketing emails and non-essential cookies where required; legitimate interests for operating, securing, and improving the site and product; and legal obligation where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law.

6. How we share information

We share personal information with service providers that help us operate the Service (for example hosting, authentication, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing). They may process data only on our instructions and for the purposes described in this policy.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, or with your direction or consent.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in a way that would require an opt-out under applicable US state privacy laws, unless we update this policy and provide a clear opt-out method.

7. International transfers

We and our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries where we or they operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers (for example standard contractual clauses).

8. Retention

We keep account and product data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Contact and marketing records are kept while we need them for support and communications, or until you ask us to delete them, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (for example for billing, security, or dispute resolution).

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; opt out of certain processing or marketing; and appeal a denied request where required by law. EU/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident (or a resident of another US state with similar privacy laws), you may have rights to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. To exercise rights, email hello@onvert.xyz. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails or by contacting us. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

11. Children

The site and product are aimed at business and developer audiences and are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example by email or a notice in the product).
